Cortinarius cinnamomeus (L.) Gray, Epicr. syst. mycol. (Upsaliae): 288 (1838) [1836-1838]

Agaricus cinnamomeus L., Sp. pl. 2: 1173 (1753)

Habitat: On soil, in mixed woodland, usually associated with Betula and Pinus spp. Also reported with Quercus spp. in oakwoods and with Salix spp. in wet woodland alongside lakes or large ponds.

Notes: Occasional but widespread.
