Habitat: On soil in mixed deciduous woodland, often in open glades and usually associated with Quercus spp.

Notes: Rarely reported. Known from England (Herefordshire, Middlesex, South Hampshire, and Surrey) and Wales (Denbighshire and Radnorshire).
