Habitat: On decayed wood of conifers, usually large stumps or fallen trunks of Pinus spp., and rarely collected on decayed debris of Pteridium. Reported on wood of deciduous trees such as Fraxinus and Quercus spp., but unsubstantiated by voucher material and the hosts unverified.
