Agaricus ditopus Fr., Observ. mycol. (Leipzig) 1: 91 (1815)

Habitat: On soil, usually amongst needle litter of conifers such as Larix, Picea or Pinus spp., and occasionally Taxus. Rarely with deciduous trees such as Quercus spp.

Notes: Occasional but widespread.
