Habitat: Weakly parasitic, forming a white pocket rot, then saprotrophic. Almost exclusively on branches of Quercus spp. Single collections supposedly on Alnus, Castanea, Fagus and Malus spp. in herb. K but the hosts are unverified.
Notes: Very common and widespread.
