Habitat: On dead wood of deciduous trees and shrubs. Most frequent on Acer pseudoplatanus and Fagus but also known on Hedera, Ligustrum vulgare and Syringa vulgaris. Rarely on conifers such as Juniperus communis and Pinus sylvestris.
Notes: Very common and widespread.
