Habitat: Gall-forming on leaves, sometimes also causing hypertrophic shoots and occasionally hypertrophic, malformed flowers of Vaccinium vitis-idaea on heathland and moorland.
Notes: Frequent and apparently widespread. The name has been misapplied to several other species on Vaccinium spp. Most frequently reported from Scotland.
