Habitat: On living branches of Salix spp. in woodland. British material on S. aurita and S. cinerea.

Notes: Not infrequent in the 19th century, but unrecorded for most of the 20th, and considered extinct until refound in Cheviotshire (Kielder Forest) in 1999. More recent collections from Scotland (Easterness: Aviemore area, Mid-Perthshire: Rannoch, and Selkirk).
