Habitat: On dead leaves of Carex and Juncus spp., and grasses. Also on dead rootstocks of Fallopia japonica, dead woody stems of Rubus fruticosus agg. and decayed debris of Pteridium.

Notes: Rarely reported but apparently widespread. Easily confused with other white mycenoid agarics.
