Habitat: On soil in deciduous woodland or with mixed conifers and deciduous trees.
Notes: Frequently reported and apparently widespread, but commonly misidentified or confused with similar taxa such as L. azonites or L. romagnesii. Most records are unsubstantiated with voucher material.
