Fomes resinaceus (Boud.) Sacc., Syll. fung. (Abellini) 9: 179 (1891)

Habitat: On trunks of deciduous trees, usually Fagus or Quercus spp. Also known on Aesculus, Betula pendula, Carpinus and Salix fragilis.

Notes: Occasional in England, rarely reported elsewhere but widespread.
