Tricholoma imbricatum (Fr.) P. Kumm., Führ. Pilzk. (Zwickau): 133 (1871)

Agaricus imbricatus Fr., Observ. mycol. (Leipzig) 1: 27 (1815)

Habitat: On acidic soil, usually associated with Pinus spp. in conifer or mixed deciduous and coniferous woodland. Rarely on calcareous soils.

Notes: Occasional in England and Scotland. Rarely reported elsewhere but apparently widespread.
