Habitat: 0 & l on Larix, Pinus and Mercurialis spp., ll & lll on Populus alba and P. tremula.

Notes: Common and widespread, but no records have been traced from Ireland. The aecidial stage is common on Mercurialis perennis but was, until recently, unknown on M. annua. It is now reported with increasing frequency on this latter host in southern England (London, Middlesex and Surrey).
