Habitat: On acidic soil, in coniferous or mixed woodland. Reported with Picea abies, Pinus sylvestris and Pseudotsuga menziesii.
Notes: Rarely reported. Known from England (Bedfordshire, Berkshire, East Kent, Northumberland, South Hampshire, South Wiltshire and Yorkshire), Scotland (Angus, Mid-Perthshire and Westerness) and Wales (Denbighshire). Recorded elsewhere but unsubstantiated with voucher material.
