Russula subfoetens sensu Rea (1922)
Habitat: On soil in mixed deciduous woodland, usually associated with Betula, Fagus or Quercus spp., often in grassy glades or clearings or with solitary trees in parkland and avenues.
Notes: Occasional to rather rare, but widespread.
