Habitat: On woody debris (twigs, woodchips etc.) and humus in woodland and on compost or woodchip mulch. Also known on soil in plant pots, and on dunes.

Notes: Occasional but widespread. Increasingly common, and often abundant, on decayed woodchip mulch.
