Habitat: Most frequently on living trunks of Euonymus europaeus in scrub woodland on calcareous soil. Rarely on Ribes rubrum and R. uva-crispa and rarely on Alnus, Carpinus, Crataegus and Prunus spp., and Sambucus nigra.

Notes: Frequent in southern England. Rarely reported elsewhere but apparently widespread.
