Habitat: On soil, in beechwoods or mixed deciduous woodland, with Fagus.

Notes: Known in a few widesly scattered locations in England, from Norfolk to South Devon, and rarely in Scotland (Mid-Perthshire) and Wales (Carmarthenshire).
