Habitat: On buried and partially decayed cones of Pinus spp., and a single record (with voucher material of the host) on Wellingtonia. Often fruiting in spring.
Notes: Rarely reported but apparently widespread. Occasional in Scotland fide R. Watling (pers. comm.).
