Habitat: On decayed wood of deciduous trees such as Acer pseudoplatanus, Betula spp., Fagus, Fraxinus, Quercus, Salix, Sorbus aucuparia and Ulex europaeus. Rarely reported on conifers such as Cedrus, Pinus spp. and Taxus. Also reported as 'terrestrial' but probably then arising from buried wood.
