Cortinarius urbicus (Fr.) Fr., Epicr. syst. mycol. (Uppsala): 293 (1838) [1836-1838] Habitat: On soil, usually associated with Salix spp. in wet areas in deciduous woodland.
Notes: Known from Bedfordshire (Leighton Buzzard) in 1951 [see TBMS 38(4): 394 (1955)] and Huntingdonshire (Woodwalton Fen) in 1961.
