Habitat: On dead woody and herbaceous stems, especially those of Urtica dioica, Rubus fruticosus agg. and Pteridium. Occasionally found on small fallen twigs of deciduous trees, usually Fraxinus.
Notes: Common in southern England especially on old nettle stems.
