Habitat: On calcareous soil, amongst needle litter of Larix spp. Very rarely reported with other conifers such as Pinus and Pseudotsuga spp.
Notes: Known from southern England (Bedfordshire, Berkshire, East & West Kent, East & West Sussex, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey) and a single record from Scotland (Dunballoch Wood) in 1908 (unsubstantiated with voucher material).
