Habitat: On soil in deciduous woodland, usually on calcareous soils, and frequently on bare ground, along forestry tracks or at the edges of footpaths.
Notes: Rarely reported but apparently widespread. Frequent, at least in south-eastern England. Many records, however, are dubious, having been described from woody substrata (such as twigs or sticks) and unsubstantiated with voucher material.
