Habitat: On soil, usually calcareous loam, in mixed deciduous woodland with Corylus and Ulmus spp. Also collected on compost in cool greenhouses and in a garden under Forsythia sp.

Notes: Rarely reported. Known from East Norfolk, Oxfordshire, South Devon, South Somerset, South Wiltshire, Surrey, Warwickshire and West Kent.
