Hebeloma helodes J. Favre, Beitr. Kryptfl. Schweiz 10(no. 3): 214 (1948)

Habitat: On soil, in boggy areas of woodland, often with Betula spp., but also known with Alnus and Salix spp.

Notes: Rarely reported but apparently widespread. Part of the H. crustuliniforme complex.
