Agaricus hysginus Fr., Observ. mycol. (Leipzig) 2: 192 (1818)

Habitat: On soil, often associated with Pinus spp. in mixed deciduous and conifer woodland. Occasionally reported with Picea, Tsuga and Betula spp.

Notes: Rarely reported but apparently widespread.
