Habitat: On dead, decayed and often partially burnt wood of conifers such as Picea and Pinus spp., often on heathland or moorland. Reported on Betula spp. and Populus tremula but these hosts are not verified.
Notes: Rarely reported. Known from Scotland (Easterness and North Ebudes) and England (Middlesex and Surrey). Reported from Herefordshire, North Somerset and from Northern Ireland but unsubstantiated with voucher material.
