Habitat: In woodland, often on calcareous soil, on decayed wood of deciduous trees such as Betula, Fraxinus, Populus tremula, Prunus cerasus and Salix spp.

Notes: Rarely reported but apparently widespread. Mostly reported from southern England, where it would appear to be not infrequent.
