Habitat: On sandy soil amongst mosses and lichens.
Notes: Rare. Known from Bedfordshire, Hampshire, Norfolk, Surrey and West Kent. Reported from North Lincolnshire and Shropshire in the late nineteeth century but unsubstantiated with voucher material.
