Habitat: Parasitic. On living trunks or branches of Hippophaë rhamnoides in coastal areas. Restricted to this host in Britain but elsewhere in Europe common on Eleagnus spp.
Notes: Locally common along the coast of England (East Kent, East Sussex, Isle of Wight, North Lincolnshire, North Somerset, South Lancashire, West Norfolk and Yorkshire). Recently reported from Scotland (East Lothian and Fife) and Wales (Glamorganshire).
