Habitat: On calcareous soil in deciduous woodland or hedgerows.

Notes: Apparently rare. Recent collections only from England (Berkshire, East Kent, East Norfolk, West Suffolk and Yorkshire). Reported from Cheshire, Co. Durham, Hertfordshire, Isle of Wight, Leicestershire, Staffordshire, West Kent, West Norfolk and Worcestershire but unsubstantiated with voucher material. A single Scottish record (East Lothian). Collected in Wales (Anglesey) in 1998.
