Habitat: On dead and dying attached branches of conifers such as Abies and Picea spp.
Notes: Rarely reported. Sometimes mistaken for a discomycete, basidiomes being small and discoid. Collections from widespread locations in Scotland, and a few from England (Cumberland, East Kent, Herefordshire and South Devon). Frequently parasitised by Tremella simplex.
