Habitat: Usually associated with Fagus in old beechwoods on calcareous soil, but reported with other trees, such as Carpinus or Quercus spp., in mixed deciduous woodland.
Notes: Known from England in widely scattered localities from Yorkshire to West Kent and Herefordshire.
