Habitat: On acidic soil, associated with Fagus in deciduous woodland.

Notes: Known from South Devon (Mamhead, near Exeter). Reported from East Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and North Somerset, also from various localities in Scotland, but unsubstantiated with voucher material.
