Habitat: On soil, usually associated with Fagus or Quercus spp. in mixed deciduous woodland, but also reported with Populus and Tilia spp.
Notes: Rarely reported. Apparently widespread, but most of the records are from scattered localities in England, from Durham to South Devon.
