Habitat: On calcareous soil, associated with Larix spp., in mixed woodland or plantations.

Notes: Known from England (Berkshire, East & West Kent, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, South Somerset, Surrey, West Suffolk and West Sussex). Reported elsewhere but unsubstantiated with voucher material. Last reported from Republic of Ireland (Co. Dublin) in 1898.
