Habitat: On soil (often calcareous loam) amongst litter in deciduous woodland. Usually associated with Fagus and Corylus but also reported with Betula, Carpinus, Quercus and Tilia spp.
Notes: Rarely reported but apparently widespread in England from Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire southwards. Reported from Wales and Ireland but unsubstantiated with voucher material. Better known as Inocybe jurana.
