Habitat: On decayed wood of conifers. British material on Pinus sylvestris.
Notes: Known from Berkshire, Cheshire, Montgomeryshire and an old, rather dubious collection by Berkeley from Scotland. Withering (1796) reported it from Edgbaston (Warwickshire).
