Puccinia malvacearum Bertero ex Mont., in Gay, Hist. fis. y polit. Chile 8: 43 (1852) Habitat: lll on various species of Malvaceae. Known on Althaea rosea, Lavatera arborea, L. cretica, Malva moschata, M. neglecta, M. pusilla and M. sylvestris.
Notes: Introduced from Chile and now common and widespread, especially on hollyhocks (Alcea rosea cultivars) and Malva sylvestris.
