Habitat: On dead wood of deciduous trees (usually small fallen twigs or sticks) such as Acer pseudoplatanus, Alnus spp. and Fagus. Rarely reported on conifers such as Cupressus macrocarpus. Also known on dead woody stems of Hedera and Rubus fruticosus agg. and debris and dead stems of Juncus spp. and Urtica dioica.

Notes: Known from England (East Kent, South Devon, Surrey and West Sussex). Reported elsewhere but unsubstantiated with voucher material.
