Habitat: On soil, in open deciduous woodland or scrub, or amongst grass under solitary trees in parkland. Most frequently associated with Quercus spp. or Fagus. Also known (rarely) with Abies and Cedrus spp.
Notes: Rarely reported but apparently widespread. Most frequently reported from southern England, but nowhere common and often occurring singly.
