Habitat: Weakly parasitic then saprotrophic on many species of deciduous trees and shrubs. Less frequently on conifers such as Chamaecyparis, Picea, Pseudotsuga and Thuja spp.

Notes: Very common and widespread. In southern England, this may be more common than A. mellea sensu stricto.
