Habitat: On soil, usually with Quercus spp., in mixed deciduous woodland or pure oak woodland, but also reported with Corylus and Fraxinus.
Notes: Rarely reported. Known from England (Oxfordshire, South Devon and Surrey) with single records from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The illustration and description in B&K4: 138 (pl. 135) is misdetermined A. submembranacea [Persoonia 16: 262 (1996)].
