Habitat: On loam or highly nitrogenous soil, usually in deciduous woodland, often under dense cover of Mercurialis perennis or with Urtica dioica in nettlebeds. Occasionally in plantations with conifers such as Picea and Thuja spp., and on compost or mulched soil in greenhouses and private gardens.
Notes: Occasional in England. Rarely reported elsewhere but widespread.
